Last week I went to Finland for a quick visit, just to relax and heal my shoulder while hanging out with mom. On the way to my home town I stopped in Helsinki and went to visit the Junarose showroom with Mimmi. I have posted about my visit to the London showroom before (see the post here), so I was very interested in seeing what styles they would have at the showroom in Helsinki. The lovely ladies who handle Junarose sales and PR in Finland showed us around and we got to see a lot of upcoming styles (which were indeed different than what I saw in London). They also kindly let us take a few photos, so here’s a little sneak peek to Junarose SS14.

Kävin viime viikolla pikaisella visiitillä Suomessa, tulin vaan rentoutumaan ja olkapäätäni hoivaamaan pariksi päiväksi – ja sehän on parasta äidin hoivissa. Kotimatkalla pysähdyin Helsingissä ja kävin tutustumassa Junarosen showroomiin Mimmin kanssa. Olen postannut aiemmin visiitistäni Lontoon showroomiin (lue postaus englanniksi täällä), ja olin utelias näkemään millaisia tuotteita olisi näytteillä Helsingissä. Junarosen myyntiä ja PR:ää hoitavat Heidi ja Anu näyttivät meille paikkoja, ja nähtiin paljon tulevia Junarose-ihanuuksia (jotka olivat eri tuotteita mitä näin Lontoossa). Saatiin myös lupa ottaa vähän kuvia, joten tässä olisi pieni vilkaisu Junarosen kevääseen.

A while ago I was offered a chance to try out a bra and briefs set from Parfait by Affinitas. The brand has only come up to G-cup before, but after lots of feedback they decided to extend their sizing up to K-cup in some styles – and that piece of news made me SO HAPPY. I have been coveting after the Charlotte-set since I heard about the size extension, but the set I was sent was Sophia. I do admit that I was disappointed for a few seconds, but I assure you that the feeling left me as soon as I put the bra on.

I was sent the underwired lace bra and high waisted briefs (Sophia-range also comes in cup sizes D-G in a padded bra, a camisole with hidden bra and hipster briefs). I was sent them in sizes 38J and XXL.

I asked for 38J, hoping it would be right (as we all know sizing differs between brands), and that is the size that I am in Curvy Kate bras. Thankfully the sizing is perfect for me. The bra comes with a wide, strong back with 4 hooks, and it’s made of gorgeous black lace. The central core is flat against my skin, and the wide back feels really supportive.

The knickers are highwaisted and stretchy, which means they actually fit me! I was sure that they would be too small and sit underneath my belly, but NO. They are perfect!

I really adore this set, and I definitely recommend you give it a try if you are in a size range 30-40 D-K. Click here for a store locator for both online and high street retailers who sell Parfait by Affinitas.

And yes, one day (hopefully soon) Charlotte will be mine as well!

Jokin aika sitten mulle tarjottiin mahdollisuutta kokeilla Parfait by Affinitasin alusasusettiä. Merkin liivejä on aikaisemmin tehty vain G-kuppiin asti, mutta runsaan asiakaspalautteen ansiosta he lisäsivät kokoja tietyissä malleissa K-kuppiin asti. Tämä uutinen sai kyllä minut (ja varmasti monet muutkin) todella iloiseksi! Tuosta lähtien olen kuolannut Charlotte-setin perään, sillä se on aivan järjettömän ihana! Setti joka mulle lähetettiin, oli kuitenkin Sophia. Hetkellinen pettymys loppui kuitenkin heti, kun puin liivit ylleni.

Sophia-sarjaan kuuluu kuppikoissa D-G myös topatut liivit, aluspaita jossa piilotetut liivit ja hipster-alushousut, mutta mulle lähetettiin kaarituelliset pitsi-liivit ja korkeavyötärölliset alushousut. Nämä pyysin koossa 85J ja XXL.

Kaikkihan me tiedämme, että liivien koko ja istuvuus on erilaista eri merkkien ja mallien liiveissä, mutta pyysin koon 85J, koska olen tätä kokoa Curvy Katen liiveissä. Onneksi ihme tapahtui, ja tämä on oikea kokoni myös Sophiassa. Liivit istuvat täydellisesti, kaarituet ovat ihoani vasten ja neljän hakasen leveä ympärysnauha on todella tukeva.

Entäs alushousut sitten? Olin varma etteivät ne mahtuisi, mutta nekin on täydelliset! Korkea vyötärö mahdollistaa sen, että ne mahtuvat, toinen malli olisi jäänyt viehättävästi mahan alle ;).

Mä olen todella onnellinen tästä setistä, ja suosittelen kaikkia kokeilemaan, jos olet ympäryseltäsi kokoa 90 tai alle, ja kuppikooltasi D-K. Tästä linkistä näkee missä kaupoissa Parfait by Affinitasia myydään, ja jotkut nettikaupoista listalla lähettävät myös ulkomaille.

These past few weeks have reminded me on the fact that I love autumn! I love the darker colours coming back, and I even love wearing leggings and tights again :D!

I made an order to Evans last week after seeing these amazing booties. And of course I had to add this sheer, floral shirt to my basket too. The colours of the shirt are gorgeous, and the outfit just fell perfectly into its fresh, but autumnal shape when I added the velvet leggings and bright purple lipstick.

Viime päivät on muistuttaneet mua siitä, kuinka paljon rakastan syksyä! Kaipaan Suomesta kaunista ruskaa (jopa Etelä-Suomessa on sitä paljon enemmän kuin täällä), mutta muodin syksyyn vaihtuvat tummat värit helpottaa oloa :). Do you ever lay on your bed and look around you and wonder how would you live and decorate if you had the space and the money? I know I do, quite often actually!

I used to live alone for 8 years before I moved to London. This was of course back in Finland, where living with flatmates isn’t very common. I lived mostly in small studio flats, but all the decoration choices were my own. Of course for most of that time I was a student, and I couldn’t afford many nice things.. But some I did. And I left those nice black and white bookshelves, DVD towers and chest of drawers with my parents when I moved to London. Please don’t think that this post is about complaining, it’s not, I’m just telling how it was for me there. Here in London.. Well, I like my life here, and I’ve had great flatmates, but laying in my bed in this small room makes me dream about how things could be. And if I can’t have a whole flat, maybe I can just dream about what kind of bedroom I’d have if I had the space and the money :)?

When it comes to my fashion, I love block colours and adding some pattern in. Or monochrome with pops of bright colour. I’d love to paint my bedroom white, with an accent wall of black with white pattern, or an accent wall of bright colour (ah, would love lime green). I’d get a walk-in wardrobe with loads of racks for clothes and places for shoes too. Then I would buy all the shoes from Evans (Have you seen the new AW13 shoes there? Amaze!) and all the clothes from Junarose (Yes, I could easily take everything!) and fill the place with them. I’d have black and white across all the furniture and linen, and white blinds on the windows, like you can see here at Hillarys (second image). And a few photoframes on the wall and my dresser. I’d keep it stylish and roomy, which would be a total opposite of my cluttery room with too much stuff in it. But hey, a girl can always dream, right? ;)

Sorry for not posting in ages, New York and FFF Week have kept me busy! I’m now waiting for my flight at the airport, so it’s time to get to work with my posts.

I haven’t done a wishlist post in a while, and this time I’m doing one about New Look, and their plus size maxi dresses and some accessories to be exact. I’m a huge fan of maxi dresses, and like you probably know, my faves are the really long ones – the longer the better :).

The Inspire Cream Floral Bandea Belted Maxi Dress is sooooo pretty with its cute little flowers and cream colour, perfect for summery days with brown sandals. The Inspire Black Folk Print 2-in-1 Belted Bandeau Maxi Dress is gorgeous, and I would wear it for drinks-date at a beer garden or something. I absolutely love the print of the skirt-part! The Inspire Black Floral Belted Bandeau Maxi Dress looks amazing, I adore the eye-catching floral print. I would wear it with wedges and a denim vest, it would look totally cute :). Lastly I chose the Inspire Navy and White Tribal Belted Bandeau Maxi Dress. It’s casual, but cute, and it would look great with a navy blazer and grey shoes.

I’m so into bright jewellery at the moment, and these Neon Green Bow Perspex Ring and Gold and Red Enamel Lips Necklace are statements in that area. Of course I couldn’t wear the ring in any other finger than my pinky (chubby fingers, haha), but that’s better than none! And when it comes to bags, I feel the opposite. I really need a tan and white bags, and I think the Tan Cut Out Oversize Tote Bag and White Cut Out Mini Satchel are super cute, and would work nicely with most of my wardrobe.. they definitely are on my must-have list!

If you have followed my blog for a while, I’m sure you know that I love bargains and voucher codes. A while ago I came across a site that I haven’t heard of before, My Favourite Voucher Codes, and they are a bit different to what I have seen on other sites, which is definitely refreshing.

They have an amazing app that you can install to Firefox or Chrome, and it sits on the top right of your browser window. And why is it so amazing? Well when you are on some online shop’s site, the app will automatically show you how many codes there are available for that retailer. That definitely makes it easier to remember to use a code and save some money (possibly for extra purchases if you are the same kind of a shopper than me… haha).

I was searching amongst the hundreds of retailers for some voucher codes that would interest me (and you my readers), and found some great ones. I have found an Evans voucher code that saves 20% off shoes…. and they have FAB shoes this summer. Here are my favourite picks from their current shoe collection.

Those mint sandals and wedges.. LOOOOOVE, serious LOVE. I actually have 3 pairs of these already (monochrome flatforms, and  the two black heels in the bottom corner), but yeah, I’m sure at least 3 more pairs will find their way to my shoe collection.. and with 20% off, it’s ok, isn’t it? ;)

I have also found this great AX Paris voucher code that saves you 20% off your first order. Now I can’t use this myself since I have ordered from them before, but if you haven’t – take this chance! My favourite pics from their Curve range would be these.

I absolutely adore that PU skirt. I have seen it on a few fabulous bloggers, like Becky. Gorgeous skirt! The disco leggings are funky, and would look great with that long floral top for example. Sigh, now I really wish that I could use this discount myself!

But yes, there’s one more thing that I want to tell you about. When you use codes from My Favourite Voucher Codes you get money off your shopping, but they also get a small amount themselves when you use their codes. BUT what makes them different is that they donate 20% of their net earnings to charity. They have a poll on the right sidebar of their site, and each month the visitors can choose the charity where this 20% goes to. I’ve actually enjoyed doing these wishlist-posts, gives me a chance to see what’s new in the stores and also daydream about nice outfits :). Since we have seen a few beautiful spring days already, for this post I went to Very and Boden, and I built two outfits that I’d LOVE to wear this spring.

I tried to go back to work yesterday, but my sickness won and I had to leave and go to doctor’s. Result: another week off work and a referral to have a chest x-ray. Fun times. Hope this week helps me to get rid of this cough from hell and my life can get back to normal next week.

BUT, you know what this means.. I have more time to surf on various online shops and dream about amazing stuff that I want to have – and to share those dreams with you. So, this is another wishlist-post, this time with accessories from Avenue 32. It wasn’t easy to pick these favourites, as Avenue 32 stocks beautiful and quirky designer fashion, and the accessories are stunning. The ones I chose were the ones that I immediately saw as a part of my wardrobe and what I could team up with my clothes and bags. Sigh, I wish I could get all of these in my wardrobe NOW.

I’m obsessed with long, slouchy beanies, and this one is SO CUTE. I love the white detail of it, it makes it a bit different than the other black beanies.

The North Circular: Jet Wool Cable Gloves
I’ve been looking for long wool gloves like this, and this pair is perfect. They look great on the wrist (like it can be seen in that small pic), and they look really WARM.

Nina Peter: Neon Pink Nappa Fingerless Gloves
These gloves are badass. And I LOVE them. Not sure if they’d fit my chubby fingers, but I sure as hell would love to try ;)!

Cutler and Gross: Brown Tortoiseshell Round Wayfarers
Like you can see in my glasses, I really love the wayfarer-style, but I need more sunnies like that! Cutler and Gross have a lot of bespoke stylish frames, and this one was my favourite.

Gah these sunnies are soooo geeky and cute! I’d love to pair these with simple tee and a denim skirt. I totally adore this pair!

This scarf is the most ‘ladylike’ of my choices, which is usually not very me. I love this print though, and I think this scarf would look amazing with a denim shirt.

Elsa Marotta: Black Fuck Print Scarf
I saved the best for last! I’ll be honest.. when I read that title the first time I thought that there was a typo, but like you can see it is not! I LOVE this scarf, it looks cool and the print is noticeable, but not readable from far. You can kind of make a silent statement with it, which is brilliant :)!
