I’m sure most of you know that last weekend was the weekend of Plus London 3. I had Mimmi staying with me for the weekend, and since neither of us was feeling too well (damn flu), we didn’t go to the event for the whole day. When we got to Shoreditch we had lunch with Mouna and her hubby, and then went to the venue. Even though we weren’t there for the whole day, from what we could see, it was all lovely, and the organisers Claire, Isha, Kirsty, Lauren and Michelle did an amazing job! I had a great time chatting with old and new blogger friends, and it was lovely to see the girls from Curvy Kate and Simply Be again :).

And of course Mimmi and I had to take outfit photos when we were walking to the venue. Shoreditch is an area with lots of lovely street art, and there’s endless amazing backgrounds for photos! By the way, this top and skirt were my fave ASOS sale bargains. The t-shirt is from the ASOS main range (sadly sold out) and it was £8, and this kilt-type skirt is just awesome, and it’s still available here in all Curve sizes for only £8.50!

Viime viikonloppuna Mimmi oli täällä kylässä, ja shoppauksen ja asukuvamaratonien välissä me käytiin myös Plus London 3 -tapahtumassa. Tavattiin ensin Mouna ja hänen miehensä ja käytiin lounaalla The Dinerissä (josta Mimmi postasi). Tämän jälkeen sitten mentiin iltapäiväksi itse tapahtumaan. Oli kiva nähdä bloggaajakavereita, ja tehdä myös uusia tuttavuuksia. Ja tykkään aina vähän turista Curvy Katen ja Simply Ben tyttöjen kanssa – ihania tyyppejä :)!

Tapahtuma oli Shoreditchissä, joka on Lontoon ‘hipster-aluetta’. Seiniltä löytyy paljon makeita graffiteja ja maalauksia, joten tietysti otettiin Mimmin kanssa asukuvat matkalla tapahtumaan. Mun asusta löytyi aiemmin sillä viikolla ostaneeni ale-löydöt ASOSilta, t-paita maksoi vaan 8 puntaa (on jo loppuunmyyty), mutta ihanaa kilttimäistä hametta löytyy täältä vielä kaikissa Curve-koissa.. ja hinta on huimat 8,50 puntaa!!!

I’m quite obsessed with jumpers nowadays, the bigger the better, but sadly I haven’t found too many that I love. One of them is this oversized Joe Browns jumper from Simply Be though, and I have worn it loads. This time I teamed it up with floral leggings from Tesco F&F, and added bling with this Evans necklace and glittery flats from Matalan. And as usual, finished with red lippy :).

After a few week’s break it is Double Vision time again! In this challenge my amazing friend Dani and I are choosing a theme, item, movie character.. whatever we come up with basically, and style those our own way and post at the same time, more about the challenge here. This week’s theme was chosen by me, and I chose ‘Jeans & t-shirt’. Now this is something that Dani wears a lot, but I wear basically never, so it was more of a challenge to me, haha ;).

I wish I could wear jeans more, but I feel uncomfortable sitting all day at work in them. I should start wearing them more on the weekends though, as I really like this look I came up with. (Sorry for the sick and tired looking face..)

A few weeks ago the gorgeous Naomi of Diamonds n’ Pearls was asking other plus-size bloggers on Twitter if anyone would be interested in doing a five-week workwear challenge. There was a nice response and now it’s the 10 of us doing this! 2 of us will post each working day, and we have been given themes for each week. Please see this post by Naomi for more information :). I teamed them up with denim shirt and shorts, and a green parka, to create some ‘festival chic’. This outfit is perfect for walks in the park and relaxing days, and I can’t wait to have some lovely outdoor times in these cute boots! I love how comfy the boots are, and the suede is so soft. Just a tip though.. I sized down for them, since suede gives in a bit after wearing.

Once again it’s Wednesday, and I’m sure you know it’s Fatshion Faceoff time! If you’re new to the blog, please see here what Fatshion Faceoff is about :). This week’s challenge item was chosen by Mhairi, and she chose a headscarf that is worn rockabilly style.

So, we have done Fatshion Faceoff every week since March, but this was the first time when I felt really out of my comfort zone. ‘But it’s just a scarf’, I hear you say.. well yes it is, but even though I love petticoats and full skirts, I have never been into the whole rockabilly look. Of course I have admired girls who do it well and look amazing (like the beautiful Diana), but I never thought it would be my thing. Somehow adding the scarf to something that I would normally wear made it too rockabilly for me, even though it’s just a scarf, haha. And also my head is shaped in a way that I can never wear something that goes round my head, they ALWAYS slip off or ride up, so there was actual comfort factor in this that took me out of my comfort zone too.

BUT I LOVE THIS LOOK. It’s as full-on rockabilly as I managed to with the stuff that I have in my wardrobe, but I love black with pops of red. (Like you have seen in few posts before.) And my new glasses go amazingly with this outfit, don’t they? I was sent them for a review from Four Eyes, and I LOVE them. They are very good quality, and my prescription is spot on. These glasses are actually listed as men’s glasses on the site, but I decided not to care, since I feel that they’re more unisex anyway ;). I also love the design and the feel of their website, with lovely big images, so you definitely see the details of the glasses. These ones have a tortoiseshell insides, which I think is a cool touch. I definitely recommend them if you are interested in quality glasses in reasonable prices. Love!

We’re back with Double Vision this Sunday, whooo! This week’s theme was chosen by Dani, and she decided that we should should you bargainous outfits under 50 pounds/dollars.

My outfit is very much on the casual side, but I was pretty amazed myself that it really was all under £50! I ordered these skinny jeans from Clothing at Tesco this week, and I was really pleasantly surprised. They actually are skinny (well except for the ankle, but since I have quite thin ankles for a fat girl I have lost hope of finding some that are skinny for me in there too), and the waist has a bit of elastic on the sides, so there’s no gaping at the back. DEFINITELY worth the whopping £14 ;)

Today was crispy, sunny and gorgeous, I really love Autumn days like this. Almost similar outfit has been seen on the blog already, but I couldn’t resist taking some pics – with my new camera may I add! I LOVE this maxi dress, it’s definitely one of my favourite buys ever.. and I feel the same about my Minnetonka moccasins and this biker jacket, so I this outfit is quite a cosy winner in my book.

I’ve had this dress for ages (well it feels like ages, but really it’s been like 6 months, haha), and it’s been on the blog already. Dani had the same dress on in the bodycon challenge a few weeks ago and she reminded me of this dress’s existence and I thought it goes well with this Autumn’s trends. I added my new amazing glittery boots and the parka you already saw a few posts ago. I really love this outfit myself, it’s both glam and relaxed at the same time.

This week seems to be another CRAZY one at work, so can’t do all the posts that I wanted to.. this girl needs her sleep too :/. But I wanted to share this OOTD with you. I’m wearing my new parka from Clothing at Tesco, which was a total bargain at £30. I saw it at Toni’s blog first, and since she looked totally great in it, I had to order it too. I also took advice from her post when she said that she sized up so that she could wear lots of layers underneath.. so yeah, I got a 24 too. I have wanted a parka so that I could wear it with heels, been obsessive about it actually, so now I am! The shorts are actually a playsuit, and I bought the top from Molly‘s blogsale.
