About a month ago I was lucky to be invited to a lovely dinner hosted by Marisota. The dinner was to celebrate the launch of new range AVA by Mark Heyes. It was lovely to spend time with my fellow bloggers, and to meet Mark as well, he seemed like a really nice guy. As a part of the goodie bag for the event we got the chance to choose a few items from the range, and I chose a collarless coat and a studded blouse. The coat is a real bargain at £49, as it feels and looks really luxurious – well done Marisota and Mark!

The blouse actually comes with a cami, but I decided not to wear it. You know me and my love of all things sheer. AND how can I not show this gorgeous Curvy Kate Portia-bra as well? Am I right ;)?!

Noin kuukausi sitten sain kutsun Marisotan järjestämälle illalliselle, ja illallisella juhlittiin merkin uutta AVA by Mark Heyes-mallistoa. Marisota ei valitettavasti toimita Suomeen, mutta kuuluu samaan konserniin kuin Simply Be, eli osa malliston tuotteista löytyy Simply Be:n EU-kaupasta. Illallisella oli kiva viettää aikaa bloggaaja-kavereiden kanssa, ja Mark itse vaikutti oikein mukavalta mieheltä. (Hän on siis kuuluisa stylisti täällä Briteissä.) Osana tapahtuman goodie bagiä oli se, että saimme valita mallistosta pari tuotetta joista pidimme eniten. Valitsin siis kuvissa näkyvän takin ja paidan. Paitaan kuuluu oikeasti musta alustoppi, mutta minähän rakastan läpinäkyviä paitoja, joten päätin jättää alustopin pois. Päällä oli kauniit ja istuvat Curvy Katen Portia-rintsikat, joten niiden sietääkin näkyä ;)!

Slowly but surely I will try to post about my NYC trip, it’s nice to take breaks from packing my wardrobe anyway ;). This time my post is about the White Cruise. I was excited by this event beforehand, but when I actually got to the boat I realised that I had kind of forgotten my seasickness and fear of heights. Who forgets that? Well I do it seems, haha. Despite that I did manage to have laughs with my ladies, and see amazing sunset views of Manhattan.

I love the Chrysler Building so much!

Oh and you already know how I feel about the Brooklyn Bridge <3

I didn’t own anything fully white before the trip, but I was lucky to get this gorgeous dress from Simply Be, and I loved it SO MUCH. It was hard having it for weeks before not being able to wear it yet! I did have a slight panic about my bra situation though (since strapless is not my friend, and I didn’t own a white bra), but the lovely ladies at Curvy Kate came to my rescue and sent me the beautiful Princess set in white – and it goes PERFECTLY with the dress. So I owe a huge thank you to both companies from sorting out my outfit for that evening <3!

So, what was the best part of the cruise for me then? Well, since Dani and I are huge dorks, we LOVED going to the photobooth and being totally silly.. and we ended up going there quite a few times :D.

Oh you can’t believe how much I miss that silly lady now!

But it was more! I met such a nice bunch of ladies that evening, Curvy Kate employees, Curvy Kate models, my fellow bloggers. I had a really great time… and I guess I should tell you more about it :)!

First of all, here’s what I wore that day..

I had made plans on Twitter to meet the lovely Callie at Harrow-on-the-Hill station and then go to the Curvy Kate office together. Long story short we got a bit lost, but thankfully cab didn’t cost too much ;). We were the first ones to arrive, and we were welcomed by the ladies from Curvy Kate, Hannah, Cheryl, Charlotte and Kim. We got drinks and saw our cute personalised goodie bags :)

We had our pictures taken and had nice chats with the other bloggers. The other bloggers in the event were Becky, Callie, Gemma, Jess, Kitty and Lilla, all of them really lovely girls who I was happy to meet :)!

Hannah and Charlotte were telling us about the company, both from marketing and design view, and it was nice to hear facts and also see how well the girls got along. It looks like a great company to work for, since everyone treated each other like family :). But of course we wanted to see some pretty lingerie in person, so that’s when the gorgeous Curvy Kate models Alice, Charlotte, Lizzie and Sophie walked out. Curvy Kate uses real women as models, and all of the ladies present were found from Curvy Kate’s Star In A Bra competition, two of them being winners from 2011 and 2012. The girls were absolutely beautiful and funny. It was great to see them joking around (I’m repeating myself, but yeah, like a family).

After that it was the time that I had been waiting for the most: fitting! I turned out to be the most challenging blogger in this matter. We tried quite a few bras, and finally the perfect fit was found from the sample rack! That was the Daily Boost in 40GG.. and yes, my bra size was definitely wrong, since I wore 44DD before. All the ladies present were quite shocked to hear that! But now I know my real size, and can’t wait to get new bras, since the difference in support and how they felt was HUGE!

Thank you ladies of Curvy Kate for inviting me, and especially for helping me to find my real bra size :)! I had a really great time, and I hope to see all of these girls again soon!
