These photos were taken over a month ago, but I have been waiting for a right moment to post. Today seems like the right day. I resigned from my job yesterday, and I’m still on sick leave, waiting to get to physio.. My future is totally open, and I’m both excited and scared about it. These outfit photos give me power somehow, that even though I don’t know what will happen, I can still look fabulous. I love the big bun in my hair, and the clothes are very grungey, but worn in a classy way. What do you think, Primark bargains can be classy too, right? :)

Nämä kuvat on otettu yli kuukausi sitten, silloin kun Mimmi oli täällä kyläilemässä. Olen odotellut oikeaa hetkeä milloin postata tämä asu, ja tämä päivä tuntuu siltä. Irtisanouduin duunistani eilen, ja olen edelleen saikulla.. odottelen pääsyä fysioterapiaan. Mun tulevaisuus on siis täysin avoinna, ja olen sekä innoissani että täysin kauhuissani. Jotenkin nämä asukuvat antaa mulle voimaa, että vaikka en tiedä mitä tapahtuu, niin voin silti näyttää upealta :D! Rakastan tuota isoa nutturaa, ja sitä että nämä vaatteet on itseasiassa aika ‘epä-leidimäisiä’, mutta silti yhdessä näyttävät tyylikkäältä yhdistelmältä. Vai mitä olette mieltä? :)

Do you remember the preview post I did on IGIGI‘s Discovering Fall 13-collection? (If not, it is here.) There is so much gorgeousness in that collection, and I was excited when they asked if I’d want to have a few pieces. I chose Veronetta Cardigan in Onyx and Shura Draped Skirt in Black, and I wasn’t disappointed. The cardigan feels so luxurious, and the skirt is possibly the comfiest thing I’ve ever worn! I know that IGIGI is usually more glam than casual brand, but I can’t wait to wear the cardigan with jeans, and the skirt with a sweater, just to make casual outfits a bit more flashy :). In this post I wore them with pleather crop top, striped shirt and platform ankle boots – what do you think?

Muistatteko postaukseni IGIGI:n Discoverin Fall 2013-mallistosta? (Jos ette, niin se löytyy täältä.) Mallistossa on vaikka kuinka paljon ihanuuksia, joten olin erityisen innoissani, kun IGIGI:n edustaja kysyi haluaisinko itselleni pari vaatetta. Valitsin Veronetta villatakin ja Shura hameen, ja en kyllä ollut valintoihini pettynyt. Villatakki tuntuu tosi luksusmaiselta, ja hame on ehkä mukavin vaate joka päälläni on ollut! Yleensä IGIGI on tunnettu enemmän glamourista kuin perusvaatteista, mutta en malta odottaa, että käytän villatakkia farkkujen kanssa, ja hametta college-paidan kanssa.. ihan vaan tehdäkseni arkisista asuista hiukan näyttävämpiä :). Tässä postauksessa yhdistin ne tekonahkaiseen ‘napapaitaan’, raidalliseen kauluspaitaan ja korollisiin nilkkasaappaisiin – miltäpä näyttää?

I’m OBSESSED with maxi skirts at the moment, and I even bought two maxi dresses from New Look sale, and cut them into maxi skirts. This skirt is one of them, and the top is DIY too, as it is a dress from Primark that I cut into a top. The pics were taken when I was in Finland.. proper fashion victim moment, standing in a muddy field in a pleather top and long maxi skirt ;)

Mä olen nykyisin aivan hullaantunut maxihameisiin. Ostin jopa New Lookin alesta kaksi maximekkoa, jotka leikkasin hameiksi! Tämä on näistä hameista toinen, ja myös paita on tee-se-itse, sillä se on leikattu Primarkin mekosta. As you probably know, I’m one of the blogger ambassadors for the Danish brand Junarose (more in this post), and as a part of that I get to pick a few items from them every month. This month I decided to go for basics, as I didn’t own a basic black cardigan before. Pretty crazy, huh?! So besides the cardi I took black jeggings (so comfy, and now on sale!) and this cute, flowery top. Unfortunately the top was a bit too short for me to wear with these jeggings, so I wore a black peplum top underneath it. And I kinda like the girly effect it gives to the outfit, especially since I wore the outfit with boyish brogues.

Niinkuin varmaan jo tiedätte, olen yksi tanskalaisen Junarosen bloggeri-lähettiläistä (lisätietoa englanniksi tässä postauksessa), ja osana tätä ohjelmaa saan joka kuukausi valita pari tuotetta heiltä. Tässä kuussa päätin valita ‘peruspilareita’ vaatekaappiini, sillä voitteko uskoa, mulla ei ollut perus mustaa villatakkia ennen tätä?! Villatakin lisäksi otin mustat jeggingsit (tosi mukavat päällä, ja nyt alessa!), ja tämän kivan kukkapaidan. Paita oli valitettavasti mulle hiukan liian lyhyt yhdistettäväksi näihin jeggingseihin, joten puin sen alle mustan peplum-paidan. Tykkään tyttömäisestä efektistä jonka se loi, varsinkin kun yhdistin asuun poikamaiset kengät.

Maybe it’s weird that a Finnish person chooses British Heritage as a theme, but I do love tartan, tweed, earthy colours.. which are all included in the trend. So, I’m wearing this gorgeous coat which I was kindly gifted to me by Marisota after I fell in love with it at their AW13 press event. I teamed it up with this tartan skater skirt from Simply Be, which reminds me of kilts too – LOVE this! The last ‘British’ part are the Evans chelsea boots from last winter. So how did I do? On ehkä kummallista, että mä suomalaisena valitsin tämän teeman, mutta rakastan tartania/skottiruutua, tweediä, maanläheisiä värejä.. jotka kaikki on osa tätä trendiä. Asuuni valitsin tämän ihanan takin, jonka Marisota lähetti mulle kun näkivät miten rakastuin siihen pressipäivillä. Lisäksi valitsin tämän hetken lempi-hameeni, kilttimäisen Simply Be-hameen (jota valitettavasti ei ole heidän Euro-kaupassaan – sorry). Viimeinen brittiläinen osa asuani on Evansin chelsea-saappaat viime talvelta. Mitäs olette mieltä? Tykkäättekö miten pukeuduin tähän trendiin?

Last week I went to Finland for a quick visit, just to relax and heal my shoulder while hanging out with mom. On the way to my home town I stopped in Helsinki and went to visit the Junarose showroom with Mimmi. I have posted about my visit to the London showroom before (see the post here), so I was very interested in seeing what styles they would have at the showroom in Helsinki. The lovely ladies who handle Junarose sales and PR in Finland showed us around and we got to see a lot of upcoming styles (which were indeed different than what I saw in London). They also kindly let us take a few photos, so here’s a little sneak peek to Junarose SS14.

Kävin viime viikolla pikaisella visiitillä Suomessa, tulin vaan rentoutumaan ja olkapäätäni hoivaamaan pariksi päiväksi – ja sehän on parasta äidin hoivissa. Kotimatkalla pysähdyin Helsingissä ja kävin tutustumassa Junarosen showroomiin Mimmin kanssa. Olen postannut aiemmin visiitistäni Lontoon showroomiin (lue postaus englanniksi täällä), ja olin utelias näkemään millaisia tuotteita olisi näytteillä Helsingissä. Junarosen myyntiä ja PR:ää hoitavat Heidi ja Anu näyttivät meille paikkoja, ja nähtiin paljon tulevia Junarose-ihanuuksia (jotka olivat eri tuotteita mitä näin Lontoossa). Saatiin myös lupa ottaa vähän kuvia, joten tässä olisi pieni vilkaisu Junarosen kevääseen.

I love all of these, but THIS JUMPSUIT. Gah, I can’t wait to have it!! // Kaikki nämä ovat mielestäni ihania, mutta en malta odottaa, että saan tämän haalarin hyppysiini!!

Mimmi and I also took our outfit pics after we left the showroom, and she took these with her camera.. I’m definitely convinced that I need the same lens too, these photos turned out great (except for the foggy grayness, haha).

My favourite pieces this summer/autumn seem to be maxi skirts. I have managed to get a few more these past month, so you will most definitely see more of them here, and more PU tops too – you’ve been warned ;). This beauty is from Primark, and it was reduced to £5.. bargainnnn! It has a PU waistband, and it blends in nicely with this Lovedrobe top.

Mun lempivaatteita tänä kesänä/syksynä on ehdottomasti maxihameet. Olen viimeisen kuukauden aikana onnistunut haalimaan niitä lisää, joten varautukaa siihen, että tulette näkemään sekä niitä että tekonahkaisia paitoja täällä blogissa suhteellisen paljon ;). Tämän asun ihana hame oli Primarkissa ALENNUKSESSA, eli hinnaksi tuli hurjat 5 puntaa! Hameessa on tekonahkainen vyötärönauha, joten se sulautuu tähän Lovedroben paitaan loistavasti.

I own only one pair, so this was an easy choice for me. I teamed my pair with my sheer maxi dress (wore it as a skirt) from Forever 21, and my new My Little Pony crop top! I didn’t even play with My Little Ponies much when I was a kid, but I still HAD TO HAVE this top, haha. Gotta love Primark ;).

Tämän viikon teemaksi Mhairi valitsi ‘Kenkäsaappaat’. Yritin Mimmiltä kysellä, että miksikä tällaisia kenkiä Suomessa kutsutaan. Nämä kun ei ole peruskorkkarit, eikä nilkkasaappaatkaan.. englanniksi nämä on siis ‘kenkäsaappaat’, joten tämä saa heittomerkeissä nyt kelvata ;).

Mulla on vain yksi pari tällaisia kenkiä, joten ei ainakaan tullut valinnan vaikeutta. Yhdistin kenkiin Forever 21+ maxi mekkoni, tosin käytin sitä tässä hameena ja puin yläosan päälle mun uuden My Little Pony- ‘napapaidan’. Siis en edes leikkinyt My Little Ponyillä paljon lapsena, mutta tämä paita oli PAKKO SAADA!
