Hello my lovies,
About a month ago I was lucky to be invited to a lovely dinner hosted by Marisota. The dinner was to celebrate the launch of new range AVA by Mark Heyes. It was lovely to spend time with my fellow bloggers, and to meet Mark as well, he seemed like a really nice guy. As a part of the goodie bag for the event we got the chance to choose a few items from the range, and I chose a collarless coat and a studded blouse. The coat is a real bargain at £49, as it feels and looks really luxurious – well done Marisota and Mark!
The blouse actually comes with a cami, but I decided not to wear it. You know me and my love of all things sheer. AND how can I not show this gorgeous Curvy Kate Portia-bra as well? Am I right ;)?!
Heippa!
Noin kuukausi sitten sain kutsun Marisotan järjestämälle illalliselle, ja illallisella juhlittiin merkin uutta AVA by Mark Heyes-mallistoa. Marisota ei valitettavasti toimita Suomeen, mutta kuuluu samaan konserniin kuin Simply Be, eli osa malliston tuotteista löytyy Simply Be:n EU-kaupasta.
Once again it’s Wednesday, and I’m sure you know it’s Fatshion Faceoff time! If you’re new to the blog, please see here what Fatshion Faceoff is about :). This week’s theme was chosen by Olivia, and she chose knee-high boots/over the knee boots.
Now I’m definitely cheating in this challenge… these boots are mid-calf length, BUT they are the only ‘long’ boots that I own. ALL the others are ankle boots or shoe boots. So please forgive me on this ;). I went for a ‘country girl’ look, which in my opinion would look better without the black tights, but it was too cold to be without them. I broke my shopping ban a bit when my mom was visiting London (I couldn’t let her do ALL the shopping, haha), and this bargainous £6 skirt from Primark was one of my purchases. I wore it with my current wardrobe favourite, my ASOS Curve denim shirt which I love to bits – I could seriously wear it with everything :)!
I’m sure I’m the only ‘failing fashionista’, and the other girls do have actual knee-high boots.. Let’s go see!

Once again it’s Wednesday, and I’m sure you know it’s Fatshion Faceoff time! If you’re new to the blog, please see here what Fatshion Faceoff is about :). This week’s theme is our 1st anniversary, so we are wearing outfits that we’d wear if we’d have a chance to go and party together (I hope someday we will!). I can’t believe we have done this challenge for a year – that means 52 posts! I have also gotten to know these ladies better and I love them all <3!
So, what would I wear then? I got this tulip dress from ASOS sale in December, but I haven’t worn it yet. I love the shape of it, I have never owned something like this before. I wore it with my leopard heels from Clarks, and my flowery headband from Forever 21.
How are the others going to dress for the party then? Here’s to more years my Fatshion Faceoff ladies <3!

Sorry I’ve been quiet in social media lately.. I am STILL ill, actually today I got prescribed some killer antibiotics (since first ones didn’t work) and the whole week off work. My mom is coming to London Wednesday evening, so I hope I will be lots better by then..
Anyway, thankfully I had this exciting post waiting in my drafts, so I can give you a new OOTD (while wearing woollen socks and being covered in duvets). So, a while ago I got a chance to organise a 4 blogger challenge for Simply Be. I asked the beauties Amy, Naomi and Sian to do the challenge with me, and we all got to style this amazing military jacket.
I think this jacket could be styled zillion ways, and this time I went with monochrome with bits of gold. The ASOS Curve dress I wore is quite fancy, so it’s nicely dressed down with this jacket. I have lots of other outfits planned in my head though, so you will surely see this jacket more here and on my Instagram.
I adore this jacket, and want to thank Simply Be for giving us a chance to do this challenge :). Can’t wait to see how the others styled it? Me neither – let’s go see!

I revealed in this post that I am in a shopping ban, but that I have made one purchase – and now it’s time to show it to you. I can’t seem to shake this illness off, but thankfully I had prepared for this post a while ago, and had the photos ready :).
But let me tell you something first.. I was always a tomboy as a kid, and a teen, and a young adult, and a not so young adult.. haha. Basically I’ve only started to embrace all things girly during the past few years, and lately I have been dying to get my hands on a tulle skirt – which is basically the last thing that the young me would have worn ;). I spotted Cassiefairy on Twitter, I guess someone re-tweeted her or something, and I decided to contact her and ask if she makes custom made tulle skirts. She answered yes, which made me totally happy! I explained to her what kind of a skirt I wanted, she was really helpful with answering questions about fabrics and colours, and about a week later I got my skirt. I absolutely love it, and I am already planning to get another one – different colour and slightly different shape though – this girl needs more tutus :)!
I’m sure that you will see a more girly look for this skirt at some later point, but for this outfit I decided to ‘punk’ it up a bit with biker boots and jacket, and with my spikey pearl necklace.
The skirt is super cute, isn’t it? I can’t wait to show you a different look with it! If you are interested in one as well, Cassiefairy’s prices for custom made skirts like this are about £45-£60, all depending on the amount of fabric you want. BUT since she is so awesome, she has promised my readers 15% off if you quote my blog when emailing her. And yes, she does ship worldwide too, woohoo!
A few weeks ago the gorgeous Naomi of Diamonds n’ Pearls was asking other plus-size bloggers on Twitter if anyone would be interested in doing a five-week workwear challenge. There was a nice response and now it’s the 10 of us doing this! 2 of us will post each working day, and we have been given themes for each week. Please see this post by Naomi for more information :).
The first week’s theme is ‘How to ‘werk’ the blazer’. I love this theme as I have found my love for blazers just recently. I didn’t use to like them at all, but now I’m practically obsessed :D. My amazing friend Dani sent me this Forever 21+ blazer in a care package a few weeks ago, and I was excited to wear it for this post. But since I work in an office where we can wear practically anything, I didn’t want to look TOO professional ;). So I teamed the blazer up with a sheer shirt from New Look Inspire, my trusty Old Navy skirt and these fabulous glitter shoes from Target – also from Dani’s care package!
That was my take on the blazer, new theme coming next week (and next week I will post on Wednesday). And please don’t forget to enter my anniversary giveaways: styling session at Evans and £100 outfit, £100 to spend on Scarlett&Jo at Evans, and a pair of Minnetonka suede moccasins!
No go and check out how the other bloggers in this challenge ‘werked’ their blazers!

Once again it’s Wednesday, and I’m sure you know it’s Fatshion Faceoff time! If you’re new to the blog, please see here what Fatshion Faceoff is about :). This week’s item was chosen by Olivia, and she chose a red dress.
I took these photos last weekend, and I have blogged this dress before, but since it’s the only red dress I own, I had to ;). Anyway, I received an amazing red dress on the post yesterday – sadly it was too late to take new photos though, so you will see that one later. I don’t mind much though, since I like how this outfit turned out. I wore the dress with ASOS Curve floral sheer shirt, Evans booties, George at ASDA clutch and We Love Colors tights. The cherry on the top (pun very much intended, haha) was this beautiful key necklace that I was sent by Cherry Baby. It gave the outfit an extra vintagey and romantic feel, and I adore the design of it. Cherry Baby has a lot of very reasonably priced cute and quirky jewellery – I definitely recommend them!
Remember to check the blog tomorrow, I will post something that I am VERY excited about!!! Before that check the red dresses that the ladies are wearing <3

I was happy to be invited to Evans Shape Studio event last week. I had a great time chatting away with my fellow bloggers, and it’s always a pleasure to see the Evans ladies. There was racks of new collection clothes for Evans, and even a new label called Scarlett & Jo. We were happy to try the clothes on and have our photos taken in by a photographer – there was a lot of posing happening, like you can imagine.. it was a room full of bloggers after all ;).
These are a few of my photos, including a hilarious shot of Caroline, Georgina and me ;D! I wore a Live Unlimited top, Scarlett & Jo leggings and Dorothy Perkins Kardashian Kollection heels. All coming this Spring – Scarlett & Jo on 5th February and Live Unlimited on 25th of March – CAN’T WAIT!
After the lovely event I went for dinner with gorgeous ladies Caroline and Isha, which really was a perfect ending for a great day! Before we left Isha snapped these pics of my outfit that evening, thank you lady. I wore my awesome sale buy from ASOS Curve, I LOVE the print on this dress, so beautiful and vibrant. I wanted it to shine, so wore it with black, black and black, with the exception of the metallic plate in this cool belt ;).
I received a BEAUTIFUL bra from Panache a couple of weeks ago, and I wanted to build an outfit around it. I think this is the first time I wanted to do this.. base an outfit around a bra! It was just so amazing, that how could I not to. It’s not easy showing your décolletage during winter, firstly because it’s cold, and secondly, I really don’t like when it’s windy and I have a lot of skin showing. BUT thankfully sheer tops are a big thing right now, and I guess if you’re a regular reader you’ve seen that I’m obsessed with them ;). I went with this cream sheer top, so that the vivid red of the bra shows through – I love a bit of accent colour during winter!
And the bra itself? I love it! I got the same size that I was fitted in Panache Andorra, which is 38H, and it fits me perfectly. It gives me lift and support, and looks beautiful!
Do you like to show off a bra with sheer tops? Are you a fan of Panache lingerie?
Once again it’s Wednesday, and I’m sure you know it’s Fatshion Faceoff time! If you’re new to the blog, please see here what Fatshion Faceoff is about :). This week’s challenge item was chosen by me, and I chose a knitted jumper.
I have been looking for BIG, oversized jumper for ages, and been disappointed time and time again. Then a few weeks ago when I went shopping with the lovely Caroline I finally found what I was looking for from Matalan sale. This jumper was exactly what I had been dreaming of, except for the fake collar and hem. I decided to go up two sizes though, since I really wanted it to look big and chunky. So I bought it, took my seam ripper out, and got rid of the collar and hem and voila – got my dream jumper!
I wore it with my perfect Eloquii blazer, ASOS Curve denim shorts, Evans boots and this absolutely gorgeous necklace I was sent by the lovely people at Olivia Accessories. The necklace is amazing, it looks soft, but it’s actually metal. It definitely finishes this look nicely. I really loved this outfit, and will definitely wear it again! (I know, that goes against the idea of my blog, BUT I love this outfit too much not to do it! Haha.)
I used to think that wearing chunky tops makes me look even bigger than I am, and I guess it kind of does, but I balance it out with wearing the shorts with tights so that there’s no extra bulk on my legs. (Not saying that something being ‘flattering’ is the most important thing in the world though, haha.) Do you like wearing chunky knitwear? What do you usually wear them with?
Now let’s go see what the other Fatshion Faceoff girls are wearing with their jumpers…
