OOTN: Pub dinner

Hi from Finland! I’ve been visiting my cousin’s today, and stressing about what to wear to my brother’s 30th birthday party tomorrow.

I was also going through pics that Tris took during his visit in London, and I really wanted to share this outfit with you. We were on our way to have pub dinner, and I love how the sun is shining in these pics, makes my eyes look really nice, haha! I also love this dress from Forever 21, the colour is amazing :)!

Wearing a bikini? Me?!?

Well it’s not an actual BIKINI, since the bottoms are highwaisted, but I actually can’t believe that I have two-piece swimsuit and that I plan on wearing it! This set is from two different places, the top is from Simply Be and the bottom is from Elomi. I didn’t want the whole set from Simply Be since I felt that the waist was too low in the bottoms, and I didn’t want the fully black set from Elomi either, because I wanted some pattern too. This match worked greatly though, and I think that the spotted top and plain bottoms look so good together. I love my new bikinis!

Bikini top: 24, Simply Be | Bottoms: 24, Elomi Lingerie

I wore the set to go to a spa for a little swim, and these following pics were taken then (sorry for the slight blurriness). They worked fine when swimming, boobies didn’t try to get out of the top and the waistband of the bottoms held in place perfectly.

So thank you both Elomi and Simply Be, you made this plus sized girl happy with her bikini :)!

Fatshion Faceoff: Scarf

Week has gone again and it’s Wednesday, which means… Fatshion Faceoff!! Fatshion Faceoff is a weekly challenge that I do with 5 other fatshion bloggers from around the world, in the challenge we choose a similar item of clothing and we all style it in our own way. This week’s challenge was chosen by Mouna, and she chose a scarf.

I’ve been busy this whole week since I had a great visitor here, and I didn’t have time to set up my usual photo ‘studio’. I asked my flatmate to take this quickly, and well, the result is dark and gloomy. When these were taken I was just back from the airport to say bye to my visitor, and I miss him already. I did have a great time though :).

Scarf: Lindex | Dress: 16, H&M | Leggings: 16/18, Primark | Shoes: 9US, Payless

This scarf is one of my favourites, I bought it around 2008, and I also have it in teal/black and mustard/black. Love it!

I’m off to Finland tomorrow for my brother’s 30th birthday party, hopefully will have an outfit post from there :). See you next week! xx

Now visit the other ladies of Fatshion Faceoff and see how they wore their scarves!

OOTD: Camden

I’ve had a busy, but amazing 6 days. Tris was visiting me, and I have had a great time :). On Sunday we went to Camden to walk around the market, and this is what I wore. I’m continuing my ‘no leggings’-theme, and I think I’m starting to pull it off.. And isn’t the t-shirt cute? Tris brought it for me, the drawing is by him, and I just love that monkey hat :).

Fatshion Faceoff: Striped skirt

Week has gone again and it’s Wednesday, which means… Fatshion Faceoff!! Fatshion Faceoff is a weekly challenge that I do with 5 other fatshion bloggers from around the world, in the challenge we choose a similar item of clothing and we all style it in our own way. This week’s challenge was chosen by Molly, and she striped skirt.

I love my striped skirts, especially the tight ones, can’t help it :D! Before taking pics for this post I had trouble to choose the skirt I wanted to wear. I have 6 striped skirts, and finally chose to wear this black and white one. This is another one of my more daring outfits, and the legs are out again, haha. Let’s just say that I’ve been feeling happy and more sexy lately :).

OOTD: Yay for Bank Holiday

Finally my internet is working a bit better (hope mentioning this won’t jinx it..), and since it’s Bank Holiday and I don’t have to be at work (YAY!), here comes a new OOTD post! I wore this outfit to go shopping earlier today, and I simply love this New Look dress. I have worn it a few times before, and it’s one of my favourites. It’s so comfy, and I feel sexy in it. I’m happy that retailers have started doing bodycon dresses and skirts for plus sized women. We have no reason to hide!!! :)

Dress: 20, New Look Inspire (similar) | Belt: from a Reiss skirt | Leggings with shiny side panels: 20, Primark (similar) | Socks: Primark | Shoes: US9, Comfort Plus at Payless | Glasses: LensWay | Lippy: MAC Viva Glam Nicki Minaj

Fatshion Faceoff: Little black dress

Yay, it’s Wednesday and Fatshion Faceoff  time :). Fatshion Faceoff is a weekly challenge that I do with 5 other fatshion bloggers from around the world, in the challenge we choose a similar item of clothing and we all style it in our own way. This week’s challenge was chosen by Olivia, and she chose little black dress.

I apologize, but this might be the quickest post I’ve done. I’ve been having huge problems with internet connection, and I’ve also been crazy busy at work. I’m basically just happy that I manage to post this at all!

Black dress: thrifted, brand unknown (similar) | Belt: from a Primark skirt | Clutch: Primark | Shoes: 6.5, Clarks | Glasses: LensWay | Lippy: Maybelline Colorsensational 547, Pleasure Me Red

I actually dared to go leggingless for this post and showed my chubby legs to the world… Try to ignore that and look at my awesome new shoes instead ;)! My flatmate got them for my birthday, and I love them!

And now it’s time to visit my beautiful fellow Fatshion Faceoff bloggers, I’m sure they all look amazing in their dresses :)

Fatshion Faceoff: Bright shoes

It’s once again Wednesday and it’s Fatshion Faceoff  time :). Fatshion Faceoff is a weekly challenge that I do with 5 other fatshion bloggers from around the world, in the challenge we choose a similar item of clothing and we all style it in our own way. This week’s challenge was chosen by Dani, and she chose bright shoes.

I bought these patent coral wedges from Primark a while ago, they were another one of my awesome clearance finds.. they were only £6! I love the colour of them, I just haven’t had a chance to wear them yet… summer.. where are youuu?!? I teamed them up with this New Look dress. (That has shrunk into a tunic after the first wash. Sad times.. I’m so happy I didn’t pay a full price for it.) It’s ok for this posts sake, but if I want to wear it in public again I need to add shorts or jeans to this outfit. I love how the dress and its belt go with these shoes though, and that’s why I decided to wear them for this challenge.

Shoes: 7, Primark (similar) | Dress & belt: 18: New Look Inspire (similar) | Leggings: 16/18, Primark | Glasses: LensWay

I really liked Dani’s pick for this week, since we haven’t done any accessories in this challenge yet, and I got to finally wear these pretty shoes :). Now click through below and see how the other girls wore their bright shoes!

A breakthrough of sorts..

I wrote this on my Tumblr, and you can see a pic of my outfit there as well. I just feel that I want to share this on my blog too, since yeah.. I have felt that the people at my office have been really cool about all this (how I have started to dress differently since I started blogging), there has been compliments and not dirty looks, until today.

For the first time I got a dirty look at the office because of my VBO (from a very thin woman of course). I love what this whole blogging experience has done to me and my confidence. Less than a year ago I would have been crushed by that look (well to be honest I wouldn’t have worn this then… but anyway), now I just don’t give a shit! I dress for myself, not for thin women who can’t believe that a fatty dares to wear something like this :). And it feels damn good!

I have been lucky that this hasn’t happened to me before, so my confidence has grown and now when it happened I didn’t feel ‘defeated’ at all. If some thinner people don’t have the confidence to wear tight clothes, why should I care?

This is me, this is my VBO, and I like me :).
