Party looks: Simply Be

Tags: , , , , , ,

Hi lovelies,

Here’s my next take on party looks for Christmas parties. I was sent this lovely dress by the ladies from Simply Be as a part of their Partywear challenge.

I sized up on the dress since I didn’t want it to be clingy on my belly, and my decision was right. It is a bit big around my shoulders (there’s a little gap and you can see my bra), but I love it how it looks on me.. I think my usual size 22 would have been too much of a bodycon for my current tastes. (Yes there still are people who think of me when they think of  bodycons or whatever, but I don’t like them a lot personally.. my taste has changed, haha.) The sparkles on the dress are a statement jewellery in itself, so I didn’t want to add any other bling. Just red lippy and red heels – perfect party look, or what do you think?

Dress*: 24, Simply Be | Heels: Yours Clothing (similar at Simply Be) | Tights: We Love Colors | Glasses*: Four Eyes Fashion | Lippy: Natural Collection Moisture Shine in Crimson – available in Boots (similar by MAC)

Have you gotten your Christmas party dress yet? Do you like sparkly details?

Hi Hanna from across the pond! I follow Rebecca and I checked out your blog. I really like this lbd. You have a lovely shape and your arms and ankles are to die for! Do you work out? Those red shoes just pop. I want to visit London someday. I love english literature and am a Jane Austin fanatic. I also read other english authors as well. I love to see great fashion made for us full figured ladies that isn’t a balloon or a tent. You do a great job with your wardrobe. Kudos! Looking forward to following your style.

I think I’d wear it with black booties. Because no outfit can have enough black. Haha. But I love the simplicity of your styling!

I love that dress! I probably would have used black shoes but I absolutely love how the red shoes look and am now thinking of all sorts of brightly coloured shoes to wear with my own black dresses… :)

Oh, this dress is so incredible on you! The detailing is very smart and that pop of red is the cherry on the top (bottom?)

    Well done!
