Band of Flowers

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hello my lovies,

Seems like it’s been AGES that I have done an outfit post using pics that are not a part of a challenge or weren’t taken months ago! And that is actually true. So finally, something new, and something that I wore to work that day and felt cute in :). I’ve had the flower headband for a while, but for some reason haven’t worn it. You’ve seen this dress on the blog already (here), but since it is one of my favourites I wanted to think of ways to make it more casual. The headband, dress and shoes are all very cutesy, but I think the denim vest brings a certain roughness to it all and makes it a casual outfit.

Denim vest: 1x, Forever 21+ (denim jackets at Forever 21+, Evans) | Dress*: 24, Project D for Simply Be | Shoes: Red Herring at Debenhams (pink peeptoes at ASOS) | Headband: Primark (similar at ASOS) | Glasses: Select Specs | Lippy: Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch (UK link, US link)

Introducing Little Mistress Curvy

Tags:

Hey my lovelies,

Since I have been introducing some new brands lately.. here’s another one :D! Maybe you have spotted Little Mistress Curvy dresses at ASOS Curve, which is where I saw them first as well. The Curvy range is available at Little Mistress site as well, where it sits in the top navigation. The range comes in sizes 18-24 at the moment.

Little Mistress is a company that adapts latest catwalk trends and colours of the season to create feminine, chic, pretty, affordable and wearable collections. The Curvy range currently consists of only dresses, and their main range is very much dress orientated too (but does have some tops, trousers and jumpsuits too). Right now the Curvy range has gorgeous dresses that would be a great choice for anyone needing a dress for a wedding or a nice summer party. Some would work perfectly for Christmas parties in a few months time – actually I do have to keep this brand in mind for that myself!

My favourites from the range are:

Curvy Black Plus Pencil Dress with Metal DetailCurvy Cream and Black Plus Lace Body Skater Dress

I think both these dresses are gorgeous! I’d wear the black one to a cocktail event and the cream one to a date! ..Now I just need a date ;)!

Fatshion Faceoff: Mixed prints

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hello my lovelies,

Once again it’s Wednesday, and I’m sure you know it’s Fatshion Faceoff time! If you’re new to the blog, please see here what Fatshion Faceoff is about :). This week’s theme was chosen by Dani, and she chose mixed prints.

I don’t mix prints very often, and that’s something that I want to change about my style. I want to be more daring. Now this look that I came up with is CRAZY.. I was going through my wardrobe with Diana, and I picked these two items up as a joke. I put them on and we both were surprised – these two prints together should be so wrong, but they aren’t! I mean I’m not brave enough to wear this look in my everyday life, but for this post I will wear it proudly ;)

Blouse: 24, ASOS Curve | Dress: 22, ASOS Curve | Heels: Evans | Glasses: Select Specs | Necklace: Lane Bryant | Lippy: Maybelline Colorsensational Vivids in Shocking Coral

So, crazy huh? I did warn you ;). It is growing on me though! Now go and see what kind of prints my ladies mixed for the challenge…

Mouna: Brussels Fatshion (Belgium)
Olivia: Wait Until The Sunset (Australia)

Introducing Junarose

Tags:

Hello my lovelies,

I don’t know if you’ve heard about another new plus-size brand around, the Danish Junarose? For as long as I can remember I have drooled after other Danish brands like Vero Moda, Only and Vila (since they have been around in Finland for ages), and wished that they would do plus-size. Well, finally the company who owns all these brands, Bestseller, has launched Junarose.

They have their own online shop at Junarose.com, but they also sell some items under ASOS Curve. In some countries they also have items in store, so if you have a local store that sells Vero Moda, Only, Vila..etc, pop in and have a look if Junarose items have been added to the selection :).

I visited the Junarose London showroom last week, and wanted to share some upcoming items with you. (Can you guess which one was my favourite, haha?)

The most exciting part of the launch for me is that I have been asked to become a brand ambassador for them in the UK (along with the lovely Becky)! This means that they will send us a couple of items each month, and we do outfit posts using the items. For my first post I wanted to step out of my comfort zone, and these are the items I chose:

Those jeggings are so dreamy, and I really hope they will work for me! I should be getting the items soon, so the outfit post will hopefully be here before you know it :). I’m so excited about this brand myself, but what do you think? Do the previews and the online shop make you want to know the brand better?

I’ll leave you with the list of other bloggers around Europe who are their countries’ brand ambassadors, I’m so happy to be a part of this bunch of lovely ladies.
