Fatshion Faceoff: Shorts

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , ,

Week has gone again and it’s Wednesday, which means… Fatshion Faceoff!! Fatshion Faceoff is a weekly challenge that I do with 5 other fatshion bloggers from around the world, in the challenge we choose a similar item of clothing and we all style it in our own way. This week’s challenge was chosen by me, and I chose shorts. I got these cute shorts from New Look sale, they actually had a rip on them and all, so I paid only £6 for them.. and they were easily fixed with some DIY :). I’ve had them for a month or so, but haven’t worn them yet, so I really wanted to challenge myself with this look.. and well, with wearing shorts altogether, can’t remember when I did that the last time.

I have never worn this kind of badass look, and to be honest I quite like it :D. I teamed the shorts with a black tank top, sporty heels, my new sunnies, Domino Dollhouse biker jacket and red lippy, of course. I look silly with the sunnies inside, but hey, don’t hold it against me, I’m just cool like that ;). Haha.

Shorts: 24, New Look Inspire (similar) ⎮ Jacket: 20, Domino Dollhouse ⎮ Tank top: 18, Primark (similar) ⎮ Shoes: 7, Primark (similar) ⎮ Sunnies: Oliver Bonas

So, can I pull off the badass look? I hope so, haha. Now go and see how the other Fatshion Faceoff ladies wore their shorts!

OOTD: Pretty flowers for a bargain price

Tags: , , , , , ,

So, I went on another haul at Primark on Sunday, and I did find some gems in bargainous prices. This pretty, summery skirt for example was only £3!!! And size 20 fit me perfectly.. so if you UK ladies are skint, but still want to shop, do not walk past Primark without going in :)!

Top: 18, Primark (similar) ⎮ Skirt (belt included): 20, Primark (similar) ⎮ Shoes: ages old from Finland (similar) ⎮ Bag: H&M (similar) ⎮ Glasses: LensWay (similar)

I was feeling absolutely horrible yesterday, I hadn’t slept well in a few nights and I basically felt like shit. I’m glad I decided to wear this outfit to cheer myself up, since if I had worn black or something I might have just cried all day! Do you ever wear bright or pretty clothes to lift your mood?

OOTN: The Voice

Tags: , , , , , , , ,

My friend and I got audience tickets to see The Voice UK last Saturday. And that was an experience indeed.. we were the last ones to get seats from the audience, so of course we couldn’t sit together. I was sitting between some people that had been on the show but got voted out, so I was spending time scared that the cameras will film them at some point and I would get in the shots as well, haha! It was VERY hot in the studio and it took AGES to get everything taped, we ended up being there from 5.30 to about 11pm. It wasn’t all bad though, the singers were incredible, and it was cool to see the celebrity coaches up-close.. especially the gorgeous Danny from The Script.. can I say YUM! The dress code for the audience was ‘party’ and ‘try to avoid black’, so I decided to wear my blue bodycon dress from Forever 21 (it’s a bargain now, only £12.75, and comes in 3 colours). I haven’t had any chances to wear it before (haven’t gone clubbing or something in ages) and I really love it!

Dress: 2X, Forever 21+ ⎮ Belt: from a Reiss skirt ⎮ Leggings: 20, Primark ⎮ Shoes: US9, Comfort Plus at Payless ⎮ Glasses: LensWay

The back detail of the dress

Denim jacket: 22, Dorothy Perkins ⎮ Aliceband: Accessorize ⎮ Lippy: Maybelline Colorsensational 547, Pleasure Me Red

Fatshion Faceoff: Floral skirt

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Wednesday is here again, which means… Fatshion Faceoff!! Fatshion Faceoff is a weekly challenge that I do with 5 other fatshion bloggers from around the world, in the challenge we choose a similar item of clothing and we all style it in our own way. This week’s challenge was chosen by Mhairi, and she chose a floral skirt.

Now I have 3 floral skirts, and 2 of them I have blogged already, and one of them I blogged on my Tumblr wearing it as a dress (and I can’t imagine wearing it as a skirt, haha). So yeah, since I had to recycle, I chose to wear this tropical one. I love its vibrant colours and its length is perfect for wearing it with leggings. I teamed it up with my trusted denim jacket, bright orange top, and brown accessories. I haven’t worn these glasses for a while, and the leather shoes are another amazing thrifting find from a few weeks back.

Floral skirt: 22, New Look Inspire | Denim jacket: 22, Dorothy Perkins | Tank top: 18, Primark (similar) | Belt: XL; Dorothy Perkins (similar) | Leggings: 16/18, Primark | Shoes: 6, New Look – thrifted (similar) | Bag: H&M (similar) | Glasses: LensWay (similar)

Like you can see, I tried something different with my images, and I really like how they turned out. The only downside is that some of them are really blurry, but since I’m borrowing my flatmate’s camera and she had a wrong lens in it.. oh well, at least some of them turned out nice :).

I wore this outfit yesterday, and I felt that this was a really good outfit choice for the first proper warm day in London. I was freezing in the morning, but by noon the weather was beautiful! I can’t wait to start wearing more summery outfits, yay! Are you ready for summer and the bright and flowery clothing it brings?

Then your next stop: seeing how my beautiful Fatshion Faceoff ladies wore their floral skirts!
