Fatshion Faceoff: Scarf

Week has gone again and it’s Wednesday, which means… Fatshion Faceoff!! Fatshion Faceoff is a weekly challenge that I do with 5 other fatshion bloggers from around the world, in the challenge we choose a similar item of clothing and we all style it in our own way. This week’s challenge was chosen by Mouna, and she chose a scarf.

I’ve been busy this whole week since I had a great visitor here, and I didn’t have time to set up my usual photo ‘studio’. I asked my flatmate to take this quickly, and well, the result is dark and gloomy. When these were taken I was just back from the airport to say bye to my visitor, and I miss him already. I did have a great time though :).

This scarf is one of my favourites, I bought it around 2008, and I also have it in teal/black and mustard/black. Love it!

OOTD: Yay for Bank Holiday

Finally my internet is working a bit better (hope mentioning this won’t jinx it..), and since it’s Bank Holiday and I don’t have to be at work (YAY!), here comes a new OOTD post! I wore this outfit to go shopping earlier today, and I simply love this New Look dress. I have worn it a few times before, and it’s one of my favourites. It’s so comfy, and I feel sexy in it. I’m happy that retailers have started doing bodycon dresses and skirts for plus sized women. We have no reason to hide!!! :)

OOTD: Tropical

So it was Friday (yes, this is a scheduled post), and I had gotten this awesome tropical skirt (I had wanted one since seeing this post by the lovely Bethany, and when I saw this New Look one I knew I had to order it), and I wanted to be on a proper summery mood… Ta-Dah! I came up with this outfit. This was another ‘pushing the boundaries’-thing, since I had never worn lippy to work, and the whole brightness factor of this outfit was new for me too.

And the outcome? I have never gotten so many compliments in my life. So many people said that I looked great, and said stuff like: ‘Love the lipstick!’, ‘Love the brightness, MORE of that.’ Of course I dress for myself and to feel good, but hearing those was really nice :). Once again it was proven that it’s good to go out of your comfort zone, you might love it! My love for this skirt has made me want this one too.. amazing, isn’t it?

Fatshion Faceoff: Plain dress

Fatshion Faceoff is a weekly challenge that I do with 5 other fatshion bloggers from around the world, in the challenge we choose a similar item of clothing and we all style it in our own way. This week’s challenge was chosen by Mouna, and she chose a plain dress. So a dress with just one colour used, and no patterns. Oh, and no black either.

Here’s what I came up with:

I chose my teal bodycon dress from Forever 21. I love this dress, but haven’t used it anywhere yet! It’s more of a clubbing style dress, but I made it more casual by adding a shirt underneath and using it with leggings and flats instead of tights and heels.

OOTD: Domino Doll

There’s one item of clothing that I’ve wanted since I first saw it: the Betty Biker Jacket by Domino Dollhouse. I wanted it when it was only available in burgundy, then it sold out before I had a chance to get it, and when it came back on stock there was a black one too! For once I was happy about missing something the first time around ;). I had to order it, but I also wanted to wait for the awesome Rebel Rebel collection to come available before placing my order.. cos I had seen another item I had to have: the sheer polka dot blouse with a hi-low hem.

I finally got the stuff last week and I absolutely LOVE them both. I had to wear them the next day, (this is a back dated post, and the images were taken a week ago) and especially the jacket has my undying love. I know I’m not the only fatty who feels this way, but I’m VERY happy that we can trust Domino Dollhouse to come up with amazing designs and items for us to feel beautiful and rad in :). I can’t say this word enough: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Thank you, DD :)

I also wanted to highlight these awesome footies I got from Primark. I love how the lace shows from under the shoe. These beauties also have a padding under the foot and also in the heel area. And they were £1.50 for 2 pairs. Go get them!!!
