Money Supermarket competition: Passion For Fashion

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Hey my lovely readers,

Since I’ve been sick for the last few days and haven’t really been up to doing outfit posts, I thought that this would be the perfect time for me to enter this competition and at the same time bring you a post about my picks for this Autumn season.

Money Supermarket is holding a Passion For Fashion-competition for bloggers to create five different looks for under £200 each. These five looks are party, casual, outdoor, first date and office wear, and each of them should be stylish according to the A/W trends and hold British weather.

1. Party
For this look I wanted to bring luxury with this amazing cream dress from ASOS, and the Carvela shoes. The blazer, bag and lipstick are all bargains from Forever 21, Matalan and Barry M. I think that there’s a good balance for expensive and cheap items in this outfit, and I know I would get many uses out of the shoes and dress.

ASOS CURVE Party Dress With Rose Skater Skirt, £40.00 | Carvela Gogo Jewelled Peep Toe Platform Shoes, ASOS, £120.00 |  Monochrome Envelope Clutch, Matalan, £8.00 | Barry M. Lip Paint in Coral, £4.49 | Satin Trim Blazer, Forever 21+, £24.75

2. Casual
Ok so my favourite trend for this Autumn is leather and rockish look, so this was my theme for the casual look. I’d love to wear this for shopping and lunch with my girlfriends, I think this would be such a kick-ass look, but the bag and the floral jeans would also keep it feminine. All the items of this outfit are between £25-£55, with the boots being the most expensive. I think sturdy leather boots are a staple item for Autumn/Winter season in the UK, so these Evans boots are a great item to spend some money on!

Inspire Black Collar PU Biker Jacket, New Look, £39.99 | Evans Rose Print Jeans, £35.00 | Evans Black Leather Double Zip Boots, £55.00 | ASOS CURVE Exclusive Dip Back Top With Double Layer, £25.00 | Mari Tote, Accessorize, £38.00

3. Outdoor
I think this might be my favourite outfit out of these five. I love this Joe Browns parka to bits, and the Evans boots are totally amazing. When it comes to the UK weather outdoors, I think it’s important that the parka and boots are more expensive, quality items that will keep you warm. The other items again bring balance to the price of this outfit since they’re bargainous. These Matalan leggings are definitely on my shopping list, and the New Look top is making me miss New York <3.

Inspire Black New York and Dogstooth Print T Shirt, New Look, £9.99 | Rogers Lace Printed Leggings, Matalan, £8.00 | Contrast Bowling Bag, Matalan, £12.00 | Evans Leather Zip Biker Boots Tan, £79.50 | Joe Browns Fur Trim Parka, Simply Be, £90.00

4. First date
For this look I wanted to combine the rockish look with super feminine cuteness. The red polkadot dress is really cute, and I love its pleated skirt. The collar and hairband are both really girly, but with their colour and style they also fit the rockish theme. Along with the dress, again my most expensive items are the shoes and coat, but like I said earlier, I think it’s important that they keep you warm and are comfy. These Dorothy Perkins ankle boots are trendy and cute, but not too high even if you walk a bit on your date, and the ASOS coat will keep you warm for many winters to come with its classic, timeless style.

Collar-shaped necklace, H&M, £7.99 | Praslin Red Polka Dot Pleat Dress, New Look, £48.00 | Black glitter back boots, Dorothy Perkins, £45.00 | ASOS CURVE Fit And Flare Coat, £60.00 | Classic Bow Alice Band, Accessorize, £4.00 | Black patent envelope clutch, Dorothy Perkins, £20.00

5. Officewear
Personally I work in an office without a dress-code, so I can wear whatever I want. But for this competition I wanted to create an office look that fits in the ‘rules’ for officewear, but it’s still feminine and trendy. These floral trousers from Simply Be would make sure that this outfit ticks the trendy boxes, and the Tatty Devine necklace brings some luxury and quirkiness to it.

Basic Fitted Work Shirt, Simply Be, £19.00 | Hellebore Rose Cluster Necklace – cream, Tatty Devine, £54.00 | Cropped Floral Print Trousers, Simply Be, £40.00 | Wide Fit Black Stud Trim Court Shoes, £24.99 | Pieces Brown Bayan Shopper Bag Purse Set, New Look, £31.99

So what do you think of these outfits? Which one is your favourite? If you are a blogger, you still can enter the competition here.

I love your take on this!

Do you know if one has to be from Britain so participate in the competition?
